Bereaved

28th Oct 1959 - 27th May 2021

The path is sunny and bright.

A more beautiful life couldn’t have been had.

We walk along, enjoying every breath, every minute.

Suddenly

The ground beneath seems to give way.

Everything seems to be slipping away.

Flung into an endless abyss.

Of darkness

And despair.

Hope and a frantic foothold.

I’m confident I can pull ourselves out.

But no.

The foothold gives way

We are flung further into the depths.

Clutching at straws,

Laboured breaths,

The incessant beeps

Flashing lights of the ICU monitors

Faith and Hope

Darkness and Despair

And then

It is all over.

I am flung out

Alone

The sunlight hurts my eyes

I grope around

Shards of my broken heart all around.

The silence is deafening.

The road ahead is in darkness.

What was and Has been.

What is…What will be….

Bruised and Broken

I need to stand tall

The last words

The confidence and strength

Reposed in me

I need to carry on

A legacy, A dream.

The strength envelops me

Albeit from another Realm.

  7. Echo your sentiments, Tanuja. Memories are all that we carry now, though, even as I write, I find it hard to accept that God has invited him to be with Him. You have a flair for writing, as you have shown in the past as well. Keep it up! And yes, we are only a message away. In case of anything at all, don't forget to ping Abhay, Sashi, Ramesh and we will all rush inπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  9. So moving dear Tanu, I want to wrap my arms around you and hold you tight. Words woven with threads of such stark emotions, straight from a grief stricken heart. The hope and faith, the sinking feeling as everything was slipping away, clinging to the last straw, the sudden loss, the deafening silence, I can feel it in the depth of my heart. 😒 Pl do summon courage and strength dear Tanu. Vivek is with you, every moment. God will guide you every step of the way. Lots of love and hugs to you. ❤️

  10. Dear Tanujapachi, you have put down all your feelings on the unexpected loss of Vivekmam in your blog. We can't still believe that he is not among us here. Now it is a testing time for you to be bold and try to achieve the goal he had in mind about Hulide Vana farm. We pray God to bless you with required strength for managing things at farm and to bestow sadgati to the departed soul

  12. Dear Tanu, couldnt help the tears flow after reading your outpouring. Glad that you are sharing your feelings as thats the first step to healing. As you rightly say, the help from another realm does come to hold you tall, hold you steady even whilst you are gripped by sorrow. Hold on tight to that strength from within, for that force is eternal, will never give way and always will be there for you.
Vivek will always be there too, in your thoughts and hence closest to you. You have a treasure trove of memories of a life shared with him which will give you immense joy and comfort for the rest of your life. Lots of love.
